  • Rawalpindi: Search operation continues as 39 more Afghanis arrested

    RAWALPINDI: A coordinated search operation continued on Monday in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi during which police nabbed additional 27 Afghan nationals residing illegally in Pakistan.

    Police said that the operation continued in different areas of Rawalpindi under the supervision of SSP Operations, adding 39 Afghanis were arrested who were residing illegally in the country without any visa or permission. Police said they have also impounded 13 motorcycles, which did not any registration papers, during the search operation.

    All entry and exit points are sealed in areas where search operation is being conducted, police said.

    It may be mentioned that yesterday during a similar operation in Islamabad police arrested over 300 Afghan nationals residing illegally in Pakistan.
