Maulana Shamsur Rehman has been killed at Ravi road, Batti Chowk in Lahore.
Maulana Shamsur Rehman, had been going home after Friday prayers when unidentified men opened fire at his car near Ravi Road, Batti Chowk.
According to initial details, the Maulana was shot in the head and shifted to hospital. His body has been sent for post mortem. A pedestrian , who was also injured in the attack, was shifted to Meo Hospital for treatment.
Inspector General Punjab Khan Baig has ordered strict high alert in province. SSP operations Lahore has also ordered to put extra security for Mosques and religious places.
