  • DG Rangers vows to root out terrorism

    Major General Bilal Akbar, Director General of Pakistan Rangers (Sindh), Thursday said that attacks on law enforcement agencies “strengthen our resolve to root out terrorism”.

    Talking to media after reviewing security arrangements for Chehlum procession, the DG Rangers said the law enforcement agencies would soon arrest the culprits involved in the attack on Military Police personnel.

    Maj. Gen. Bilal Akbar said that Karachi operation against criminals would continue till elimination of last target killers.

    The DG Ranger said there is no security threat to the main procession of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S) Chehlum.

    He said that 10 thousand Rangers personnel have been deployed in Karachi, while 11 thousand more personnel are performing their duties in interior Sindh on the occasion of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S) Chehlum.

    LG polls security measures

    The DG Rangers said foolproof security arrangements have been made for the forthcoming phase of Local Government elections in Karachi.

    He advised Karachiites to use their right to vote without any fear in the local government elections.
