Unknown assailants on Tuesday evening shot dead a satellite engineer associated with a private news channel in attack on its DSNG van.
According to police, the assailants fired seven rounds on the Digital Satellite News Gathering (DSNG) van of a private news channel at Shaheed e Millat Road near Bahadarabad.
As a consequence, satellite engineer Arshad Ali Jafri was killed and driver Anas Chauhan injured, who was immediately shifted to a hospital.
The assailants after firing on the DSNG managed a clean getaway from the spot.
Police said 9mm shells were found from the site of incident and that three assailants riding on motorbikes fired on the DSNG van from two sides.
