The court had given six months deadline to compensate the victims of 2008 earthquake.
While hearing a petition regarding non-payment of compensation to Balochistan quake victims, Chief Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman of Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday issued contempt notices to Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani, Chairman NDMA and Chief Secretary of Balochistan.
The court had ordered the government to compensate 187 Baloch families, who were affected by an earthquake in the province on October 28, 2008.
The petitioner submitted before the court that that the authorities had deprived the affected families of Khanozai village in Pishin District from financial aid package announced by the federal government.
