Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan departed for the venue of the rally being staged against inflation in the country, where he said he would present a nine-point agenda over the issue.
Speaking to media persons outside his residence, prior to his departure to the rally venue in Lahore, Khan questioned about the number decisions taken by the parliament with regards to inflation. He further said that staging of rallies was a requirement for addressing the issue and that he would announce his agenda to tackle the menace of rising prices.
Imran said that rampant corruption, too few people paying taxes, government over expenditure, excess printing of the Pakistani rupee, the elite safeguarding their wealth abroad and tax breaks for the rich were the major causes for rising inflation in the country.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan laid out his party’s plans for a “jihad against inflation and “slavery to America”. He warned that inflation in the country was going to rise in the coming days.
