Entire political and religious leadership of the state while condemning the Rawalpindi Incident, express immense grief over it and labeled it a conspiracy to destroy peace.
Molana Fazlur Rahman and the Opposition Leader Syed Khursheed Shah condemned the incident and termed it a move to destroy peace. Dr Tahir ul Qadri appealed the people to remain peaceful. He said that Islam teaches us about love, peace and unity.
Liaquat Baloch stated that the incident was a pre-planned conspiracy. Imran Khan while expressing concerns over Rawalpindi mishap, said that the anti state elements want to spread hatred and violence in Pakistan.
MQM Chief Altaf Hussain has appealed the people of Pakistan to remain calm and to maintain peace in order to foil the conspiracies of spreading violence. ASWJ Head, Allama Ahmed Ludhiyanvi while declaring the incident as the incompetence of the administration, demanded transparent investigation of it.
Majlis Wahdat ul Muslimeen (MWM) condemned the tragic incident and termed it a failure of the administration. Allama Tahir Ashrafi, Mufti Muhammad Naeem, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Hafiz Saeed also condemned the incident in strong words.
