    In yet another success against terrorism, the security agencies killed six terrorists in Muzaffargarh during an armed encounter with personnel of Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Friday’s wee hours. Firearms and explosives also were recovered from the terrorists.

    According to CTD sources, the operation was launched near Muzaffargarh area of Mondka. Al-Qaeda commander Bilal Lateef alias Yasir Punjabi was killed among six terrorists during exchange of gunfire.

    CTD officials said Yasir was riding a motorbike and his henchmen were on board a vehicle when they were intercepted at a security check post. Soon afterwards, terrorists opened fire. In retaliatory action, all absconding terrorists were killed.

    It is pertinent to note here that security agencies conducted an action in Multan yesterday and killed eight terrorists hailing from an outlawed organization. Six of them managed to flee.

    The killed terrorists include Hafiz Abdul Mateen alias Tayyab, who founded Al-Qaeda in Pakistan. He was the mastermind of Rawalpindi Parade Lane mosque bombing.

    It should be mentioned here that these terrorists had fled Multan’s armed encounter yesterday.
