The strike of the Young Doctors Association (YDA) Punjab continued on the third consecutive day across the Punjab province.
The out-door patient departments (OPDs) of all public hospitals remained closed across the province, irking the patients. Few operations were also postponed due to the unavailability of doctors.
On the other hand, the provincial government said that it would take strict action against the doctors who were absent from their duties.
Thousands of the patients have been suffering outside hospitals in severe cold as the doctors were on strike.
