BAHAWALPUR: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif inaugurated Pakistan's first 100 megawatt solar power project in Bahawalpur town of Punjab.
The project, which costs Rs.15 billion, is likely to be completed by December this year.
In the second phase, officials said, the solar project would add 300 MW in the system by 2015 and 600 MW power by 2016 in the third phase.
