Intelligence-based operations in Dera Ismail Khan and South Waziristan by the Pakistan Army have killed three terrorists, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.
According to the ISPR, the first operation took place in the Kulachi area of DI Khan on Monday. In the operation, two terrorists were killed after a heavy exchange of fire.
The other operation took place in Kot Azam, South Waziristan, where one more terrorist was killed.
“Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from all three killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as innocent civilians,” ISPR said.
However, in a third incident, a blast Improvised Explosive Device martyred an army official in Gharyoum, North Waziristan. The official has been identified as 26-year-old Sepoy Shahzeb, who hailed from Rawalpindi.
The ISPR also said that sanitization operations were being carried out to find any other terrorists still hiding in the area.
