Lahore: Punjab Governor Latif Khosa and Pakistan Muslim League-Q chief Chaudhary Shuj'at Hussain have decided to field joint candidates to defeat their political opponents in the by-election on National Assembly and Punjab Assembly seats through seat adjustment.
The meeting between the two leaders took place at Shuj'at residence during which Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhary Perveiz Elahi was also present.
The governor said that the alliance between the Pakistan People’s Party and the Q-league was not temporary. Shuj'at said that his party entered an alliance with the PPP in the national interest.
Both the leaders said that they would field the best candidates to defeat their opponents, who have been making tall claims.
