Federal Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that the elections would not be delayed, adding that the interim government would be set up from March 19, 2012 following the completion of the five-year assemblies term on March 18, 2012.
Talking to media today at his residence, after meeting Norwegian ambassador, he said that the government can not delay the general elections in the presence of independent media and judiciary. He said that the interim government would be installed on March 19, 2012 after consultation between opposition leader and the leader of the house. He said that registering the case against anyone doesn’t tantamount to take political revenge, adding that if anyone committed the crime then the case should be registered against him. It is pertinent to mention here that PML (N) President Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had alleged the PPP other day for reverting politics of revenge as the case against Mumtaz Bhutto’s son was lodged.
