Prime Minister Imran Khan has said the entire country should contribute to the development of tribal districts in order to address their sense of deprivation.

Speaking in the National Assembly, he asked the provinces to give 3 percent share from the NFC for this purpose as the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa alone cannot meet the development needs of tribal districts.

The Prime Minister appreciated all the political parties for backing the 26th Constitution Amendment.

He said our development should be inclusive and the areas left behind must be brought at par with other areas of the country.

Earlier, the House held discussion on the Constitution Amendment.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi of PML (N) said the federal and provincial governments should show commitment to bring the tribal districts at par with other parts of the country.

Maulana Wasay of JUI (F) said his party supports all the initiatives aimed at facilitating the tribal people.

Raja Pervez Ashraf of Pakistan Peoples Party said his party has always raised voice for the mainstreaming of tribal districts.

Khalid Maqboob Siddiqui of MQM said it is a historic occasion for the tribal districts.

Haider Khan Hoti of Awami National Party said we need to give more respect and honor to the tribal people.

Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri said it is Prime Minister Imran Khan who always took the lead and stood up for the rights of the tribal people, and loudly and openly spoke against the drone attacks in these areas.
