SWAT: The police in Swat have rounded up dozens of suspects in connection with the assassination attempt on National Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai.
According to police, data has been collected from the mobiles of the suspects and hoped to get to the assailants of the 14-year old girl soon.
The search operation that was launched soon after the attack on Malala Yousafzai continued for the third consecutive day in various areas of Swat to hunt down the culprits.
Dozens of people were arrested from different areas including Sharifabad and Khwajabad.
The police said that cell phone data pertaining to the threatening calls made to Ziaudding Yousafzai, the father of Malala have also been collected as well as that of the mobile phones belonging to the suspects.
The police authorities claimed to have achieved a breakthrough in connection with the investigation into the attack on Malala Yousafzai and hoped to reach the culprits soon.
