  • Proposals not implemented by LJC: CJ Iftikhar

    Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said that Law and Justice Commission had not acted upon the recommendation of National Judicial (policymaking) Committee, urging the government to implement the proposals as soon as possible.

    A meeting of National Judicial (policymaking) Committee, headed by the Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, was held in a conference room of Balochistan Hight Court.

    Addressing the opening session, the chief justice said that the fruits of judicial policy have arrived to the people of Pakistan in a short period of time, however, added that more steps are needed to be taken in this regard.

    He said that it is the utmost responsibility of the judiciary among all institutions to assure dispensation of justice. Rule of law, dispensation of justice and good governance lead the society towards stability.

    Chief Justices of Federal Sharia Court, Islamabad High Court and all provincial High Courts were present the meeting.
