Pakistani Pacer Mohammad Amir stepped up for one more time and helped Jamaica Tallawahs secure a crucial 122-run win against St Lucia Kings in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) on Sunday.

Tallawahs needed to win this match to keep their playoffs hopes alive and with their all-round performance today, they have one step inside the playoffs.

Chasing a massive target of 202 runs, the Kings were all out for just 79 runs courtesy of breathtaking bowling of Tallawahs.

Chris Green took four wickets for the winners for just 15 runs and was the highest wicket-taker for his side but it was Amir who gave his side a promising start by removing Kings' openers, Roshon Primus and Leonardo Julien, in his second over.

Amir's spell was crucial as the 31-year-old set the tone and put early pressure on the chasing side. Primus was clean bowled while Juliet was trapped for a leg-before-wicket (LBW) out.

Amir only bowled two overs and notched up two wickets for just seven runs. He also became the leading wicket-taker with 15 scalps to his name in eight innings.

Not only that, he also has the best economy rate of 6.59 among the top 10 bowlers in the league.

On the other hand, Imad also took two wickets for 24 runs, taking his wicket tally to 13 and becoming the third-highest wicket-taker in the league.
