PPP leader and former Interior Minister Rehman Malik extended an invitation to former coalition partner Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) to join the Sindh government.

In a discussion with media persons outside the Sindh Assembly in Karachi, Rehman Malik said PPP doesn’t want to steal MQM’s mandate. “Both parties have set up separate three-member committees to hold discussion,” he said. He quoted President Asif Ali Zardari saying that MQM’s mandate should be respected.

Admitting that two parties have developed some differences over the recent local government bill, he clarified that PPP doesn’t want to bring his mayor in Karachi.
