Police on Wednesday registered Shikarpur blast case against six suspects. A suicide bomber, in a failed detonating attempt, injured three policemen outside a Imambargah in southern part of the country as the nation marked the beginning of the religious festival Eidul Azha.

The attack took place in Shikarpur in Sindh province, around 470 kilometres (300 miles) north of Karachi and the same district where at least 61 were killed in a suicide attack on another mosque in 2015.

Two suicide bombers tried to enter the Shikarpur Imambargah but were intercepted by the police. One of them exploded himself while the other was caught by the locals.
