KARACHI: A heavy explosive device was found and defused near Tariq Road.
A bomb weighing 14.5 kilograms was found concealed in a sack and placed alongside Khalid Bin Waleed Road. Discovering the explosives, police immediately called the Bomb Disposal Squad.
The BDS team confirmed it was explosives weighing over 14-kg along with 2.5-kg attached with a detonator and defused it. It may be noted here that BDS teams lack professional gadgets and kits to execute such sensitive operations.
