DIG Fayyaz Sumbal, who embraced martyrdom in a suicide blast in Quetta yesterday, was laid to rest in Lahore on Friday.

Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Law Minister Mian Mujtabah Shuja-ur-Rehman, Rana Mashood high police officials attended the funeral of the martyred DIG.Speaking to reporters after his funeral, IG Punjab said that such incidents cannot lower the morale of police force.
Relatives of Fayyaz Sumbal said that he was an honest and humble person. He has left behind his widow, a daughter and son.
