PTI Chairman Imran Khan warned on Wednesday that his party would launch a protest if rigging issue was no addressed in three days.
In a video message later, Khan said: “Pakistan is facing many challenges, including terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. I have spoken to General Kayani in this regards." The PTI chief said that this was the first time the country had seen such a high turnout and the election commission should investigate the allegations or the people would be disappointed.
Khan added that for the time in Pakistan’s history people came out in such large numbers to vote and they had reservations which needed to be addressed. The PTI chairman said it was the responsibility of the ECP to address these reservations.
“If you (ECP) fail to address their reservations, these people will not vote again and would be deterred from the democratic process.” Khan further said that the ECP had failed to meet expectations.
