Five death row convicts were sent to the gallows in different jails of Punjab on early Wednesday morning.
According to details, three death row convicts were executed in District Jail Gujrat. Death row prisoners Salman and Shafeeq were hanged for killing Nasir Mahmood after abduction in 1998 while prisoner Younus was executed for murdering Ghulam Hussain in 2002.
Death row prisoner Rana Aslam was hanged in District Jail Dera Ghazi Khan. Aslam had killed his wife in 1996 over a family dispute.
Death row convict Ghulam Mustafa was executed in Central Jail Faisalabad. Ghulam Mustafa had killed his opponent in 2001.
