  • Coronavirus: KP Govt announces free ration package for effectees

    Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced to provide free ration to families of coronvirus patients in the province on Tuesday.

    The announcements comes hours after provincial health minister Taimur Jhagra confirmed 15 cases in the province.

    According to the provincial relief department, the ration will be given to those patients who will stay at government quarantine facility.

    The ration package includes 20kg flour bag, 10kg rice, 5kg pulses and milk.

    The relief department has issued a notification in this regard after approval from the Chief Minister Mahmood Khan.

    With 90 new coronavirus cases confirmed in the last 24 hours, the number of COVID-19 patients in Pakistan reached 184, officials said Tuesday.

    According to the health ministry, the new cases were reported in the northeastern Punjab, southern Sindh and northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) provinces.

    Earlier, Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan has said that the government and people are jointly struggling to prevent spread of coronavirus in the province.
