The Opposition leader in the National Assembly, Syed Khurshid Shah, voiced its support for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s initiatives to offer talks to Taliban hoping for restoration of peace in Pakistan.

Pakistan Peoples Party’s Leader of the Opposition in the house, Syed Khurshid Shah, assured that opposition would not engage politicking. “We will definitely support the government if the issue is really going to be resolved through dialogues, we are well aware of Prime Minister’s compulsions in this regard therefore for such important matters should not be handled for political mileage. He, however, urged the government to set a time-frame in case the talks failed.

Nawaz Sharif, while concluding his speech, appreciated Imran Khan for giving suggestions to the government. “I’m very happy that Imran Khan sat with me and gave his suggestions to me. I’m ready to accompany him, will be very happy if he invites me home.

The PM also took notice of his party stalwart and Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah’s criticism on Imran Khan, and assured that action would be taken against him for his ‘inappropriate’ statements.
