    Karachittes have once again expressed faith in leadership of Imran Khan as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is leading vote count with big margin in NA-247 and PS-111 constituencies.

    As per unofficial and unverified results, PTI’s Aftab Siddiqui has bagged 27111 votes whereas his political nemesis Muttahid Qaumi Movement Pakistan’s (MQM-P) Sadiq Iftikhar has secured just 12895 votes as voting concluded in as many as 211 polling stations.

    Similarly in PS-111, PTI’s Shehzad Qureshi is on the top with 7554 votes whereas Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) Mohammad Fiaz Pirzada is on second spot with just 3054 votes as voting concluded in 52 polling stations.

    PTI lost kpk PK 71

    In yet another blow to the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Awami National Party (ANP) candidate Salahuddin won the by-election on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (PK-71) seat.

    According to unofficial results received collected from all 86 polling stations through result transmission system (RTS), Salauhuddin received 11,224 votes against PTI’s Zulfiqar Khan, who bagged 9,755 votes.

    Khan had contested on the seat vacated by his brother Governor Shah Farman. The ruling PTI party lost its second seat from Peshawar in by-elections.

    The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had declared 51 polling stations in Peshawar as sensitive and 35 as highly sensitive. Polling began at 8am and ended at 5pm.

    Besides Zulfiqar Khan and Salahuddin independent candidates Dildar Khan, Abdul Karim Khan, and Fazale Haq Kohi Damani also contested the by-election.
