At least 9 terrorists killed while 7 security personnel martyred in an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan on Saturday, said military media wing Inter Services Public Relation (ISPR) in a statement.
According to ISPR, armed forces conducted IBO in North Waziristan and during the operation, nine terrorists were killed, however, in terrorists retaliated seven security personnel including a major embraced martyrdom.
The terrorists came from other side of the border and they were hidden in a compound of a house, ISPR said.
“In an intense exchange of fire, seven Pakistan Army soldiers including an officer embraced Shahadat. Those embraced martyrdom include Capt Junaid, Havaldar AMIR, Havaldar Atif, Havaldar Nasir, Havaldar Abdul Razzaq, Sep Sammi, Sep Anwar,” the ISPR added.
According to the army, the area has been cleared and identification of killed terrorists is in progress.
