    Begum Kalsoom Nawaz, wife of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has expired in London.

    She had been suffering from cancer and was under treatment at London's Harley Street Clinic.

    Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Kalsoom Nawaz.

    In a statement, he said all facilities will be provided to the family and heirs of Kalsoom Nawaz as per law.

    The Prime Minister has directed Pakistani High Commission in London to assist in provision of all necessary facilities to the heirs of the deceased.

    The Prime Minister said Kalsoom Nawaz was a brave lady.

    He also commiserated with family of the deceased.

    President Dr Arif Alvi has also expressed grief over the sad demise of Begum Kalsoom Nawaz.

    In a statement, he commiserated with the bereaved family.

    Meanwhile, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has expressed his grief and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family on sad demise of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.

    In a tweet issued by ISPR Chief Major General Asif Ghafoor, the Army Chief has prayed eternal peace for the departed soul.

    Politicians from various political parties have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of Kalsoom Nawaz.

    Those, who extended condolences, include PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, former President Asif Ali Zardari, PML-N Chief Shahbaz Sharif and other leaders of the party, Qaumi Awami Tehreek Chief Ayaz Lateef Palijo, ANP Chief Asfandyar Wali, MQM Leader Amir Khan,

    Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaisar and Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri have expressed grief and sorrow over the death of Begum Kalsoom Nawaz.

    In their separate statements, they comissorated with the bereaved family. They also paid rich tribute to Kalsoom Nawaz's social and political services, she rendered during his life.

    Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Khan Sanjrani and Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandviwala have also condoled the death of Begum Kalsoom Nawaz.

    They prayed eternal peace for the departed soul and commiserated with the bereaved family.
