President Mamnoon Hussain has summoned a session of the National Assembly on August 13.
The president signed a summary approving the NA session on August 13, forwarded to him by the caretaker prime minister.
It has been learnt that the newly-elected members will take oath of their office on the first day of the session.
This will be followed by the elections for the speaker, deputy speaker and the leader of the House.
According to the law, the NA session is to be called before August 15; however, the session cannot be summoned unless a notification has been issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan.
The summary approved by the president would now be sent to the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.
The ministry would determine the time for the session.
