The former chairman Senate and PPP leader Raza Rabbani has stressed all political parties, prime minister Shaid Kahqan Abbasi and opposition leader Khursheed Shah for creating consensus over the name of caretaker prime minister.
“PM and opposition leader should avoid to send names of caretaker prime minister to election commission as per article 224-A of the constitution as the practice had proved destructive in past,” he warned in a statement.It is a political issue and should be resolved through political parties,” he urged.
Commenting over the powers of caretaker PM, veteran politician said that caretaker PM could not take any decision regarding financial issues while Senate should be vigilance and make shore the caretaker PM should keep himself in constitutional role.
