  • SECP tracks down 31 persons, 186 companies named in Paradise Leaks

    Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has traced down 186 companies and at least 31 persons who were named in Paradise Leaks for owning offshore companies.

    According to the details, authorities have gathered data pertaining to the companies from year 2010 to 2017. Sources privy to the commission have reported that letters have been dispatched to directors of the companies.
    The commission has sought details of global beneficiaries of the companies.

    Former prime minister (PM) Shaukat Aziz among 31 Pakistanis were named in Paradise Leaks and inquiry was launched on November.

    The commission had written to Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) in November after tracking down 86 offshore companies of 13 Pakistanis residing abroad.The commission has sought details of global beneficiaries of the companies.
