  • Nation to continue to move ahead on road to progress: PM

    Prime Minister launched two landmark multi-million dollar strategic projects at Korakorum Highway to restore  historic road linkage with China

    Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf says despite the several challenges‚ the nation has to continue to strive to move ahead on the road to progress and development.

    He said this during a briefing on Karakoram Highway Realignment project in Hunza on Friday.

    He said the tendency of pursuing negative thoughts needed to be done away with. We can hope to achieve progress only with greater love and understanding.

    Referring to terrorism issue‚ the prime minister said Pakistan ranked top for rendering innumerable sacrifices in the fight against terrorism. It has lost precious lives of civilians and law-enforcement agencies personnel.

    Prime Minister Pervez Ashraf said the PPP and its allies are proud to have politically empowered the people of Gilgit Baltistan.

    He acknowledged that the government of Gilgit-Baltistan is striving hard to serve the masses.

    Earlier‚ the prime minister launched two landmark multi-million dollar strategic projects at the Korakorum Highway to restore the historic road linkage with China. The link was severed due to the artificial Atta-abad lake created as a result of landslides.
