The Federal Cabinet has approved National Policy on Environmental Change to tackle climate changes
The Federal Cabinet has asked Energy Committee of the cabinet to expedite its efforts to resolve power crisis issue on priority basis.
The Cabinet which met in Islamabad on Wednesday with Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf in the chair expressed dissatisfaction over the working of the committee.
The Prime Minister decided to summon a special meeting of cabinet to discuss energy crisis next week. He also directed for taking steps to overcome the power load-shedding.
The Cabinet has also approved National Policy on Environmental Change aimed at talking Climate changes under the UN framework convention.
Earlier‚ in his opening remarks‚the Prime Minister said the government is making sincere efforts to enhance capacity of Power Generation Plants to overcome energy crisis.
He told the cabinet that Pakistan is the first country that registered protest at nation level against the sacrilegious movie and our Government condemned the movie at all forums.
However‚ he said he was upset to see some miscreants destroying and damaging public and private property on the day of Youm-e-Ishq-e-Rasool SAWW.The cabinet also accorded approvel of various agreements.
