The Prime Minister has directed BISP Chairman to provide assistance to flood affected people of Balochistan
Waseela-e-Taleem initiative under the Benazir Income Support Programme would be launched by the end of the year and would provide free education to 3 million out-of-school children of the beneficiary families.
This was stated by Chairperson BISP Farzana Raja at a meeting with Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf in Islamabad on Monday.
She said the beneficiary families will be provided an additional incentive of two Rs200 per child.
The prime minister hoped that Waseela-e-Taleem would prove instrumental in achieving the Millennium Development Goals by 2015.
He directed chairperson BISP to provide assistance to flood affected people of Balochistan on priority basis. She told prime minister that BISP is working for the rehabilitation of its beneficiary families affected by recent floods in Balochistan‚ Sindh and Punjab.
