  • Pakistan 'bombards' India with three dozen mysterious balloons

Indian authorities have started an investigation into the origins of three dozen ‘mysterious’ balloons with messages in Urdu which were recovered by Border Security Force (BSF) from various outposts along the Punjab border on Sunday, claimed Indian media.

Indian officials said most of the balloons were recovered from outposts in Ferozepur, Pathankot and Amritsar.

Notes attached to the balloons addressed to PM Narendra Modi, daring him to “check and verify the valour of Pakistan armed forces”, the reports added.

Some of the balloons were seen flying at an altitude of 8-10 km. Most of them had a diameter of one to two inches.

Earlier, India had allegedly detained a pigeon crossed the Indo-Pak border into India’s Pathankot area for being a ‘Pakistani spy’.
