  • PM urges UN to declare blasphemy a global crime

    Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has asked the UN to declare blasphemy a global crime.

    Addressing a gathering at the Sindh Chief Minister House held in connection with distribution of cheques among affectees of Baldia Town, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf expressed grief over loss of life during protest on Youme Ishq-e-Rasool (PBUH) which was observed on Friday.

     

    The Prime Minister said that President Asif Ali Zardari will rase the issue of anti-Islam film at the UN General Assembly. He also urged United Nations to declare blasphemy a global crime.

     

    Addressing the gathering, Governor Punjab announced free education in Punjab for children of those workers who died in Baldia Town factory blaze. Governor and Chief Minister Sindh also addressed the gathering. Later the Prime Minister distributed cheques among the affectees of Baldia Town.
