    High treason case: Shaukat Aziz to record statement in UAE File Photo

    Former prime minister Shaukat Aziz has expressed his willingness to record statement in high treason case in the United Arab States on February 7.

    According to sources, Aziz has refused to appear before a court in Pakistan due to unknown reasons, but he is willing to be part of the investigation.

    A team comprising officials of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) would travel to UAE to record his statement next month.

    Wajid Zia, Additional Director of the FIA, would spearhead the agency’s team in UAE.

    Former President Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf, prime accused in the high treason case, recorded his statement on December 21 last year before the special court adjourned hearing till February 18.
