    Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said during a meeting with European Union (EU) representative Kaja Kallas that Pakistan wants to further strengthen its multi-dimensional partnership with the European Union, expressing satisfaction over the 8th round of the Pakistan–EU Strategic Dialogue.

    During the meeting, prime minister Shehbaz reaffirmed Islamabad’s commitment to expanding cooperation in key areas, particularly trade and investment.

    The Prime Minister underlined the importance of the GSP+ scheme in Pakistan–EU trade relations and noted that both sides discussed regional and international developments in detail during the meeting.

    The PM thanked the European leadership for supporting Pakistan’s efforts to promote peace in the Gulf region, saying that the Deputy Prime Minister and the Field Marshal are actively contributing to these efforts. He stressed that lasting peace requires collective international engagement.

    Shehbaz also briefed the EU representative on Pakistan’s position regarding South Asia and Afghanistan, and extended best wishes to the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission, renewing his invitation for them to visit Pakistan.

    EU representative Kaja Kallas appreciated Pakistan’s role in supporting regional peace efforts.
