Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Tuesday reviewed security arrangements put in place at federal capital’s Red Zone.

Federal ministers for defence and interior, Khawaja Asif and Choudhry Nisar, briefed the prime minister about steps taken to ensure protection of public life and important government installations in the zone.

Nisar informed during the meeting that around 40,000 security personnel have been deployed in Red Zone besides a comprehensive security plan is also finalized.

Sources said that deadlines given by PTI and PAT were also discussed during the high-level meeting.

Imran Khan, PTI’s top leader, yesterday threatened that he will lead his Azadi March into Red Zone this evening.

On the other hand, PAT’s Dr Tahirul Qadri has also announced to hold a session of what he called a ‘public parliament’ at his ‘Inquilab March’ to decide the future course of action today.
