Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Tuesday urged both PTI and PAT to restrain from provocation and not to enter the Red Zone.

Talking to media outside the Parliament House, he said that leaders of the both had assured the government previously that they will be non-violent and will avoid entry into the Red Zone in capital Islamabad.

His statement came after Imran Khan, PTI’s top leader, yesterday threatened that he will lead his Azadi March into Red Zone this evening.

Dr Tahirul Qadri of PAT has also announced to hold a session of what he called a ‘public parliament’ at his ‘Inquilab March’ to decide the future course of action.

Iqbal asked Khan to drop his plans, adding country’s institutions know how to defend constitution and uphold law.
