Six more prison staff members, including three women, have been detained by security agencies in connection with the alleged facilitation and communication provided to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan who is incarcerated at Adiala Jail.
Media reports revealed that the detained staff members include a female sweeper, two lady wardens, and three CCTV camera operators. The authorities are currently interrogating them.
According to media reports, the mobile phones of the detained staff members have been confiscated. The female staff of the jail allegedly facilitated Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi. The detentions were made based on investigations conducted with Deputy Superintendent Muhammad Akram, Assistant Superintendent Bilal, and Nazim Shah.
Media reports further reported that the security personnel at Adiala Jail have been increased.
It is worth noting that since August 14, a total of 13 individuals, including a Deputy Superintendent, two Assistant Superintendents, and other staff members, have been detained for allegedly facilitating Imran Khan.
Meanwhile, the list of individuals allowed to visit the former Prime Minister at Adiala Jail has been restricted.
Only three PTI members - Naeem Panjutha, Khalid Shafiq, and Nasiruddin Nayyar - were granted permission to meet Imran Khan today.
The requests of Intizar Panjutha, Shaukat Basra, and Khuram Warak to meet the former Prime Minister were denied.
