    Foreign Office spokesperson in a weekly press conference Thursday said the prime minister will visit the Iran capital Tehran to participate in the oath-taking ceremony of Iran’s newly elected President Masoud Pezeshkian on July 30.

    She covered a range of significant international and regional topics, reflecting Pakistan's active engagement in global diplomacy.

    The FO spokesperson said Pakistan is hosting a two-day conference on export control, with participation from various international organizations and countries. The conference underscores Pakistan's commitment to global trade standards and security measures.

    The FO spokesperson highlighted ongoing human rights issues, urging the international community to take action against Israeli aggression and atrocities in Gaza. Additionally, the spokesperson called for an end to human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir and criticized the so-called "black laws" in India, which have raised concerns from the Human Rights Committee in Geneva.

    The spokesperson reiterated Pakistan’s stance on resolving the Kashmir issue in accordance with UN resolutions and called for international condemnation of human rights violations in the region.

    Diplomatic Engagements:

    MOFA spokeswoman said the Foreign Secretary will lead the Pakistani delegation at the upcoming ASEAN Ministerial Conference, reflecting Pakistan’s commitment to regional cooperation.

    The spokesperson emphasized Pakistan's importance on maintaining constructive relations with the United States.

    The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan visited Pakistan from July 22 to 25, meeting with the President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. Key discussions included bilateral cooperation and the TAPI gas project.

    ECO Secretary General Khosrow Waziri is currently on an official visit to Pakistan to strengthen economic cooperation among member states.

    The spokesperson acknowledged China’s role in uniting Palestinian political factions and reported that Palestinian factions have welcomed this unity declaration.

    The international community, including South Africa and the International Court of Justice, has supported a resolution on Israel, reflecting widespread concern over the situation in Gaza.

    Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to visit Tehran on July 30 to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Iran’s newly elected President, signaling continued diplomatic ties between the two countries.

    Federal Cabinet of Pakistan recently passed a resolution on Palestine, and the Prime Minister issued a detailed statement on the matter. The spokesperson refrained from commenting on specific discussions between the government and protesters regarding the declaration of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu as a terrorist.

    The Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said the press conference by urging the international community to take effective measures to halt Israeli aggression in Gaza and to support a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir conflict.
