Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Ahsan Iqbal has said that JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman had some valid reservations which his party will address.
“I was there when Nawaz Sharif met him and I had gone to him before that as well […] Fazl’s one-on-one meeting with Nawaz was very encouraging,” Iqbal said while speaking to a private news channel.
Ahsan Iqbal has said that while social media cannot be completely restricted, it also cannot be used as a “free-for-all tool to instigate anarchy in the country”.
Iqbal said there was a need for consensus regarding the issue of social media, adding that several nations had formed their code of conduct on the matter.
“I think all stakeholders should sit together and decide upon it,” he said during the interview.
