  • Muharam 9 processions conclude peacefully across the country

    Mourners across the country area took out processions on Muharram 9 to commemorate the martyrdom Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), his family, and his followers in Karbala.

    The processions moved along their traditional, pre-determined routes in different cities and towns of the country, including Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Quetta, etc.

    The mourners performed different rituals associated with the day.

    Eelier, in Karachi, the main procession started from Nishtar Park, passing through MA Jinnah Road, Saddar's Empress Market, Tibet Centre and ended at Hussainia Iranian Imambargah in Kharadar.

    The 500 year old historical procession of No Dhala Tazia in Rohri is moved on the traditional route.

    The main procession in Lahore started from Pando Street, Islampura, and ended in Pando Street after passing through the designated route.

    The main procession in Islamabad emerged from Markazi Imambargah Asna Ashri in Sector G-6/2 and culminated at the same place after passing through its traditional route.
