Pakistan got another big diplomatic success at United Nations. Pakistan has been elected to UNHRC for next three years with huge majority.
Pakistan secured a record number of votes, Out of 193 Pakistan was able to get 169 votes. Pakistan got maximum number of votes in Asia pacific group.
Pakistan has been re-elected to the United Nations Human Rights Council (HRC) with an overwhelming majority securing 169 votes in the 193-member UN General Assembly.

In this regard, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Pakistan getting a large number of votes is an expression of confidence in Pakistan's policies at the international level.
He said that Pakistan has always raised its voice for the protection of human rights at international forums. The Human Rights Council is a very important forum of the United Nations.
