Balochistan escaped another calamity as two terrorists were killed in crossfire and weapons and explosives were recovered by security forces in different incidents.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan foiled a major terror bid by conducting an operation in Mastung.
Weapons and explosives in large amount, including sniper rifles, grenades and locally made mines, were recovered by the FC officials that were hidden in caves.
FC had steered this operation on the basis of the information that it had received from an arrested militant during interrogation.
In the other occurrence, two terrorists were killed by the police in crossfire in Quetta’s area Nawa Killi while two managed to escape. A raid was conducted by the security officials on the identification of a nabbed offender.
It has been learnt that one slain militant belonged to a banned outfit and was involved in the Quetta incident. However, the other could not be identified.
