Former Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik has declined an offer by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to become his adviser, a post which is equivalent to the portfolio of a federal minister.
“Dr Abdul Malik has been offered three different posts. But he had turned down the Prime Minister’s offer,” National Party Chairman Hasil Bizenjo said.
“We are keeping a close eye on Sanaullah Zehri government in Balochistan,” he said.
Bizenjo said that National Party itself had requested the prime minister to ensure implementation of the Murree Accord, a power-sharing formula agreed with the ruling PML-N after the 2013 general elections.
“We met Prime Minister Sharif and made a request to enforce the Murree Agreement,” he added.
