Abdul Malik Baloch, Balochistan Chief Minister, Saturday resigned to vacate the office for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Sanaullah Zehri under Murree agreement.

“We decided to implement Murree agreement and for that matter we are leaving chief ministry,” National Party (NP) chief Mir Hasil Bizenjo said in a press conference.

Murree agreement is a power sharing formula that reached between PML-N and NP under which Baloch and Zehri had to share the office of chief ministry equally during the five year tenure.

Bizenjo thanked PML-N for inviting his party to make the coalition government in the province.

On the occasion, Baloch said that he would play his role as political worker to organize the people of Balochistan.

As chief minister, Baloch said, he did everything he could do for betterment in the province.

He said that the NP would continue to support the government with Sanaullah Zehri in the Chief Minister office.
