  • Mawra Hocane: Being self-sufficient isn’t a trophy

Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane has called on people to break social barriers and reconnect, emphasizing that self-sufficiency isn’t a badge of honor.

In an Instagram post, she urged followers to embrace their social instincts rather than isolating themselves.

“Stop being self-sufficient, it’s not a medal,” she wrote.Highlighting the value of communication and support, she added, “Stop being completely anti-social. Normalize picking up the phone even when you don’t feel like it. Let’s all talk!”

She acknowledged that reaching out may be harder for some people, but encouraged those who find it easier to take the lead.

“I know it’s harder for some people than not, but it’s easy for people like me. We’ll take the plunge, just get on the ride with us,” she maintained.

Her words come as the Lollywood mourns the tragic deaths of actresses Humaira Asghar and Ayesha Khan, whose decomposed bodies were discovered in their homes after they had been dead for days.

A few days ago, police discovered the body of 32-year-old Humaira Asghar in her DHA Karachi apartment.

She had reportedly lived alone for more than seven years, and autopsy reports that she died eight to ten months ago.

Similarly, veteran actress Ayesha Khan was found dead in her residence in mid-June, with authorities saying she passed away days before her body was discovered.
