At the renowned Global Music prizes (GMAs) held in California, Pakistani music producer Sharif Awan won a stunning hat-trick of gold prizes for his outstanding creation named "Music in COVID Times."

The GMAs, which are renowned for honouring exceptional artistry and talent across a variety of musical genres, including jazz, classical, fusion, folk, and modern music, have given Awan's most recent composition their highest accolades.

Produced under the banner of the Tehzeeb Foundation, 'Music in COVID Times' stands out as a record-breaking album, securing victories in the most coveted categories at the GMAs: Creativity/Originality, Best Album, and Best Producer.

The efforts of the Tehzeeb Foundation have received praise from throughout the world before. Indus Raag - Beyond Borders, their main project, had previously won a gold medal at the Global Music Awards in 2016, earning a place on the list of the Top 10 Albums of the year. Additionally, in 2015, Pakistan's first entry into the Grammy Awards, "Indus Raag," created history.

Awan acknowledged his appreciation for his recent success and said, "A win for music anywhere is a win for music everywhere! I'd like to congratulate all the musicians that collaborated on this record in the most challenging of circumstances, including those from Pakistan, India, Germany, and the UK. May music's healing power never end.

Awan's triumph highlights both his own commitment to musical brilliance as well as the power of music to unite people across boundaries, particularly in trying circumstances like the world COVID-19 pandemic. His success at the GMAs solidifies Pakistan's position in the world of music and inspires young musicians everywhere.
